I've written on this subject in the past, but new for this year is a short video illustrating evidence pointing to the fact that the story of St. Patrick is based on celestial metaphor.
Interestingly, the Patrick story shares many similarities with the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis, which is the subject of this previous post.
The world's ancient myths share a common foundation -- a fact which should unite us. Instead, literalism -- and especially literalist christianity -- has been used to divide us. The Bible stories and many stories of saints' lives can be shown to be based on celestial metaphor -- using the very same ancient system given to cultures around the world, including Celtic myth, Norse myth, Greek myth, Vedic and Sanskrit myths from ancient India, myths of Egypt and Mesopotamia, and sacred traditions of Africa and of ancient China and Japan, and of Australia, and of the Americas, and of the cultures of the Pacific.
